The Winery

Pearmund Cellars is located in the beautiful foothills of eastern Fauquier County, VA, conveniently close to Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Our 7500-square-foot geothermal winery and 25-acre vineyard produces Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling, Late Harvest Vidal, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Ameritage, and other award-winning Virginia wines.

TASTING ROOM

Enjoy learning about wine in a very warm and friendly setting. Enjoy wines crafted from one of the most decorated wine teams on the East Coast and leave with a much better understanding of wine.

BARREL ROOM

Our Italian-tiled barrel room features Spanish antique-gold light fixtures and unique barrel stacking systems (we introduced the system to the East Coast). The perfect setting for an intimate, candlelit “Will you marry me?” catered dinner for two or a team-building off-site corporate meeting.

VINEYARD

Established in 1976, the vineyard originally hosted nine different grape varieties. Today we stick to chardonnay on the property, as they are the most successful grapes to grow with respect to this terroir. We have 15 acres and 11,000 vines of Chardonnay, cultivars or clones of Chardonnay to help increase the complexity of wine.

We also source from the premier vineyards of Virginia that specialize in one particular grape variety.

BARREL CLUB

Want to own a barrel crafted by Vicard Tonnelleries of France at our winery? Includes an etched plaque with your name or dedication, our name and the details of the wine aged in that barrel. The barrels arrive in July/August and are filled September/October. Attend the annual Spring tasting from your and other’s barrels for four years as the wine reaches maturity before bottling during the year and the December Barrel Owner’s Weekend. After four years, you pick up your barrel and take it home.
