"My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I visited your vineyards
on a recent Saturday and had a wonderful time. We ended up bringing a
case of wine home with us to Williamsburg and think of that day often
as we enjoy the wine. The experience was made so memorable because of
Lori who assisted us during our tasting. She was extremely informative,
witty, and accommodating and ensured that we were enjoying ourselves.
It was such fun that we look forward to a return visit the next time we
are up there. "

"Thanks again to Chris and DJ for a fantastic afternoon! We ended
my bachelorette winery outing with the best and our absolute
favorite. You guys took great care and went out of your way to
make it a special day for me! My sincerest thanks! We, of course, will
be back." |

"Our first visit was yesterday (Sunday, March 30, 2008), and I can't
wait to return. Friends are coming in May from Europe, and this is one
attractions we won't miss. We can't wait for them to experience
the friendly staff and the great wine. Redmund, your wine dog, is a
delight too."

Shannon and Mandy, Guests of the Mayhurst Inn
"As part of the Mayhurst Inn's ' Virginia Wine
Country Vacation Package', they set us up with tours of six nearby
Virginia wineries over a two-day weekend -- in addition to serving
Virginia wines each evening at the Inn and providing us with a bottle
of Pearmund's Cabernet Sauvignon in our room. Pearmund Cellars
was our favorite. The Pearmund staff were friendly and
informative. Pearmund has a great selection of excellent wines, and we
purchased several. We highly recommend Pearmund and
Mayhurst. We had a wonderful birthday weekend."

"Pearmund was voted Virginia’s Favorite Winery this year, and I think
with good reason. They have a good selection and the wines are very
balanced. They are also producing some really creative wine, most
notably the Ameritage, which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec
and Petit Verdot. Mark was very knowledgeable with the wines and wasn’t
afraid to offer opinions and suggestions for food pairings. I would
comfortably say that Pearmund is in our Top 5 Virginia Wines."

"Congrats on winning 'most favorite winery.' I know we try to get there
every chance we can. We live in Richmond and travel to Pennsylvania to
see family. Pearmund is our MUST stop on the way!"

"I just want to say what an absolutely fabulous, delightful, and truly
excellent wine we enjoyed at supper on December 31, 2007. I am
referring to Lisa's Merlot 2004, which was among a number of wines we
purchased at your winery near Broad Run. We had it with a standing rib
roast, simply prepared with garlic slivers, salt, black pepper, and
Yorkshire Pudding. It was a truly memorable meal, especially so because
of your wonderful wine. I don't consider myself to be a very
accomplished cook, but I would be very proud to serve this meal to
anybody. We live 1000 miles from your winery but hope to come to
Virginia to visit my sister who lives just ¼ mile up the road. I
shall stock up again on a quantity of the wines you recommend. We now
have several very good reasons to come, and your wine itself is worth
the trip!"

On October 12, 2007, I visited my brother-in-law Curtis Leetch, who
lives in Gainesville, VA. He took me to the Bonefish Grill for dinner. I
asked Curtis if he’s been drinking any of the wines from Virginia. He
said, 'No, there not that good!' I remarked, 'How many have you had,
and what varietals? Evidently not the right ones." Then, the waitress
pulled in to ask if we were planning to have wine with our meal,
and, if so, did we have a preference? When I said probably a dry white,
she recommended your wine, saying it was very good. Well, it was more
than very good! I thought it was one of the cleanest and most pleasing
Chardonnays Ive had this side of the Atlantic. Don’t get me wrong I
like California’s style for some pairings, but I prefer balance to
bigness when it comes to food. Thank you all for this fine wine. I
think Curtis left the table with a little different opinion of
Virginia’s winemakering capabilities."

people greet us when we visit. Sue is top notch! We love her

"... This is one of the few wineries we have visited, where there is a
children’s area supplied with toys. This is a great idea, especially
for parents who want to stop by to purchase a wine or wine accessory
gift. We stayed a Pearmund Cellars for longer than we
anticipated, due to the
friendliness and willingness of Chris Pearmund and Rick Tagg to talk to
us. Chris is a big promoter of the wine industry. It is really great to
meet someone who is willing to share his extensive knowledge in order
to help other businesses ..." |

"Pearmund usually ends up being a stop on any wine tasting day trip
that B and I take, and I'm regularly impressed by the quality of the
wines and the winery itself. It's a quiet, low-key place that takes its
wine-making quite seriously. It's on the way when you're heading out
from DC to Rappahannock or Faquier counties, but if you can't make it
there, they have wines on several wine lists in the area (including
Mendocino, 2941, Firefly, Colvin Run Tavern and Ardeo)." |

"Pearmund Cellars, owned by the much respected and well known Chris
Pearmund, is a relatively new winery that has matured and developed
quite nicely since opening for business in 2003. Chris Pearmund has
also assisted and helped a number of wineries in Virginia, leaving his
mark for quality wine all along the Virginia wine trail."
"I encourage readers to visit Pearmund Cellars as we did and pack a
pinic basket and find a wine that works for you and with your food
selections. All the wines at Pearmund Cellars are delicious and high
quality so you cannot go wrong."

"Thank you for a lovely evening in your vineyard! The weather you
ordered for the day was perfect! The food was delicious!
And the service was impeccable! Everything came together into a
beautiful winemaker's dinner. Our cousins, Seth and Rachel Coleman,
Alan, and I
thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. " |

"Just wanted to let you know that the viognier is absolutely delicious.
I don't usually drink white wine but purchased a bottle yesterday at
the Grapevine (the last one) to bring to a dinner. It was a big hit!
The wine is very unique yet tastes like a fine Virginia wine. What
impressed me about it was how good it tasted even at room
temperature. Also, your Ameritage is fantastic. You truly have
some of the finest Virginia wines I've ever tasted."

"My husband and I came to your vineyard in mid-October. We've just
opened the Cabernet Franc 2002 that we purchased. Our Christmas Day was
complete. We (unfortunately) shared it with friends, whose reactions
you'd find very gratifying. Congratulations on a great wine. We can't
wait to get some more and then selfishly hide the bottles." |

"Just wanted to extend our thanks to you and Lisa for hosting such an
incredible dinner on Saturday. This was our first winemaker's
dinner and everyone in our group had a fabulous time! We will
definitely be returning to Pearmund and look forward to many more
fun-filled tastings and wine dinners. The food was wonderful; the staff
was great; and the
atmosphere was the perfect backdrop to our anniversary celebration! We
know a lot of hard work and committment went into the evening. Thanks
to everyone involved!" |

"I wanted to say thanks for you hospitality a couple weeks back when a
large group of us came out for Kasay's birthday party. We had a great
time eating and drinking your great wine out by the barn. The tour was
also a terrific experience. When I was leaving, we discussed the tables
you put in place for private tasting and dinning. I told one of
my buddies, and we are going to surprise our wives! In closing, I've
been to almost every winery in Virginia and you have one heck of a
setup. Great product, great people, and a great facility."

"Pearmund Cellars has produced some excellent red and white wines in
its first year of operations and in quantities which should enable
consumers to purchase them at the winery's beautiful new tasting room
or in selected local wine and food shops."

"We purchased your 2002 Ameritage at Whole Foods last
weekend. It was the best Virginia red wine we've had since the
1985 Meredyth Cabernet. We enjoyed meeting you. My wife and I are
looking forward to trying the Chardonnay next."

"On June 28, eleven
of us winos piled into a van for two days in the 5th largest wine
producing state in the country, Virginia. Our destinations
included six wineries of the Blue Ridge Wine Way and four other nearby
wineries. Here’s a brief rundown on where we went and what we
thought."

Heritage Hunt is the largest American Wine Society Chapter in the
United States. When they hosted their June meeting at Pearmund Cellars,
their chapter chair, Ray Olszewski, said that, "Pearmund Cellars
Riesling has a great body, is light and smooth tasting, has an
extremely great aftertaste, and floats over the tongue with grace." He
gave the wine a rating of 19 out of a possible 20 points. |

"Thank you for the tour of your winery last Saturday. We really enjoyed
it, especially the play area that you had for kids. GREAT IDEA!!!
I've been telling all of my friends about it. I believe that my husband
mentioned my new businesss to you while I was in the play area blowing
bubbles with the kids. It's called The Piedmont E-Saver. It's
