Our Products

If you are looking for fine wines to complement your outdoor meals, try our Summer Relaxation Three-Pack: 2003 Cabernet Franc, 2004 Viognier, and 2003 Ameritage for $39!  Or, indulge your floral, exotic senses at our 2004 Viognier sale. Our case price is $135, and our three-bottle price is $39.

Remember that all our wines taste great with a family or corporate picnic under our shady trees, but we would also love to have you join us for the following wine-lover activities:
  • Independence Day Celebration:  On July 1st through 4th, bring your family, friends, and pets to help celebrate both Independence Day and Pearmund Cellars' third anniversary. Wine tastings, barbeque treats, and outdoor activities (e.g., whiffle ball, frisbee) will be available in exchange for donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Bring extra lawn chairs and coolers, then relax while enjoying burgers, hot dogs, roasted corn on the cob, and our fine wines.
  • Summertime Winemaker's Dinner: On Saturday, July 15th, be our guest for an evening of fabulous wine, classic cuisine, and sparkling conversation at our summer-themed winemaker's dinner prepared by talented chefs Amy Sherwood and Carlos Quiles.

Our Process

In July, we will bottle our 2005 Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Ameritage, and Ameritage Reserve. Come to the winery to savour the last of our 2004 red wines and enjoy a walk through our flourishing vines! Bring your family and friends along to enjoy a gourmet picnic -- call us at (540) 347-3475 if you would like us to arrange catering.

Our People

Pearmund Cellars and the Winery at La Grange are looking for folks interested in working two (or more) weekend days each month in our tasting rooms. Experienced staff members may occasionally be asked to pour at off-site tasting venues. If you love both wine and people, this may just be the job for you! Sign-up during your next tasting or call the winery at (540) 347-3475.

Our Partners & Retailers

Partner:  Starting as low as $65 per hour or $30 per person, Oasis Limousine offers Virginia Wine Country Tours for couples, families, friends, and corporate clients. Besides affordable, yet luxurious, transportation, their knowledgeable staff can provide management services, event planning, logistical support, site analysis, coordination, catering and dining options, unique venues, and entertainment tailored to match to customer objectives and interests. For a memorable tour, ask your chauffeur to start or end at Pearmund Cellars.

Wine Store:  Those who know Tim Stevens (from our tasting room staff during our inaugural year) will be pleased to hear that Tim recently opened Out Of Site Wines (open Thursday and Friday from Noon to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; or Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment). People can stop by the wine shop located at 214 Dominion Road, Northeast, in Vienna, Virginia, call (703) 319-WINE, or email Tim to sign up for his informative wine newsletter and enroll in a great discount program. Functioning like a frequent flyer program, the discount program will track individual purchases and award one point per dollar for every item purchased in the shop. Customers who reach 500 points receive a $50 credit towards future purchases. That's like having a case discount on every bottle and gourmet food purchased!

Restaurant:  Executive Chef David Gedney and Pastry Chef Staci Gedney manage J's Gourmet, a unique shop combining gourmet food, wine selections, cafe lunches, evening dining, and catering. Located at 206 South Royal Avenue in Front Royal, Virginia, the lunch cafe and shop on the lower floor sells gourmet items from Monday through Saturday. The fine-dining restaurant on the upper floor offers authentic tapas on Wednesday and Thursday and a prix-fix five-course menu featuring seasonal items on Friday and Saturday nights. J's Gourmet is known throughout the area for their great food, fine service, and reasonable prices. Ask them to fax their catering menu for your corporate party, private reception, or special event featuring Virginia wines.

Inn:  Just steps from the world-renowned Inn at Little Washington in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Foster-Harris House offers comfortable, refined accommodations in an enchanting country setting. Each guest room has exquisitely soft linens, spa robes, and private bath with rainfall shower or whirlpool tub. Most rooms offer expansive views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy afternoon wine and appetizers upon arrival and awaken to a sumptuous four-course breakfast. Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway along the Blue Ridge WineWay or a spot for summer hiking, biking, and exploring, one of the inn's five guest rooms will comfort and refresh you.

Our Industry

In 1976, most of the world was shocked when Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon '73 and Ridge Montebello '71 beat First Growths such as Chateau Mouton-Rothschild '70 and Haut Brion '70 in a blind tasting. Earlier this month, the legendary 1976 Paris Tasting was recreated. If you haven't already read the results, try the following articles:
Also, Decanter magazine stated that a Los Angeles film company bought the rights to George Taber's Judgment of Paris: California vs. France. The company plans to focus on the "interplay between Spurrier and the Californians rather than the French angle, ending with the triumph of the Californian underdogs in 1976."
